Company ARKTUR LLP is actively raising funds to invest in the construction of a palliative care complex
Palliative care is an approach aimed at improving the quality of life of patients (adults and children) and their families who face problems due to serious or life-limiting illnesses.
It is estimated that more than 40 million people worldwide need palliative care each year. Only 14% of those in need receive it. Appropriate national policies, programmes, resources and training of health workers in palliative care are needed as soon as possible to improve access to care. Given the difficult situation in Ukraine, where many people are left alone to face their problems, company ARKTUR LLP is actively raising funds to invest in the construction of a palliative care complex. Timely provision of palliative care reduces the number of unjustified visits to hospitals and health services.
Preparatory work is underway to build a new hospice in a peaceful, natural location in Kyiv.
